Miscarry? Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
Ahhh I love the ultra-right, and their drive to provide clever ways to send people to jail.
Apparently, a Virginia representative by the name of John Cosgrove (R) has introduced a bill that would send women to jail for up to 12 months along with a $2500 fine for not reporting a miscarriage to the authorities within 12 hours.
I'm assuming that this is some radical pro-life attempt to try and curtail the amount of abortions, but what purpose does this bill really serve? Maybe Cosgrove is assuming that Roe v. Wade is about to fall (which it sadly may, thanks to a certain person's re-election and many soon-to-retire Supreme Court justices), and wants to start getting his ducks in a row for then, forcing women to turn themselves in?
