Buy Blue's mission is to provide comprehensive information as to the political leanings of the world's major corporations. The theory is that by "purchasing products and services from companies that donate heavily to conservatives, we have been compromising our own interests as liberals and progressives."
Want to know some of the most blue companies? Barnes & Noble, Google, Starbucks, Apple and L.L. Bean.
The most red? I'm not shocked with the inclusion of Best Buy, Nordstrom's, McDonalds or WalMart. But I'm still shocked by Urban Outfitters, PetsMart and Kohl's Corporation (originally run by Sen. Herb Kohl (D) in the 1970s). Strange.
Wow, a reason to buy from Starbucks and Gap...but not Amazon, crap. Thats a bit of a conundrum. So let's see, Dell bad, Apple good, Fredericks of Hollywood good, Victoria Secret who knows, General Mills isn't listed, so we'll assume good. I guess I'll have to go to Barnes & Noble.com to buy stuff now.
