The White Stripes have certainly made their mark on the music industry. With their gritty, lo-fi garage rock take on the blues, the band (heck, actually just Jack White) has paved the way for a whole bunch of like-minded bands to find air-time (The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jet, the Strokes - heck, even Modest Mouse). And Jack White has had a great couple of years - he's starred in major Hollywood films, gotten into high-profile fistfights, and won Loretta Lynn her first Grammy in 33 years.
But now he's done something better. He teamed up with Sofia Coppola (director/writer of such films as "Lost in Translation" and "The Virgin Suicides") to create the Stripes' newest music video. And it doesn't disappoint.
The concept? Kate Moss dancing on a stripper pole. That's it. No special effects, no exclusive locations, and certainly no catering was required for the talent. :)
I'm waiting to see the same thing done with Star Jones.
