Pro Wrestler + Ignorant Homophobic Views + Liberal Campus = Fun!

Ohhhh Yeah!!!
I just can't let this one fall through the cracks.

On April 5th, 2005, the University of Connecticut College Republicans sponsored a speaker to come to campus and present his conservative view of the world.

That speaker? None other than The Ultimate Warrior - who now legally goes by just "Warrior."

But it gets better. Much better.

[T]hings were fairly calm until Warrior described how liberal thinking has created an "abyss of moral relativity where everything is as legitimate as everything else."

"The broadest and most despicable illustration of this most destructive consequence of moral relativity," Warrior said, "is that barbarism, today, is as legitimate as civilization."

Warrior went on to provide specific examples that, he thinks, illustrate his point. He laments that that "the bum is as legitimate as the businessman ...that queers are as legitimate as heterosexuals...that Kwanzaa is just as legitimate as Santa Claus and Christmas."
...
It wasn't until Warrior was asked to qualify his statement on the illegitimacy of homosexuality that folks got riled. His response: "because queering doesn't make the world work."

Warrior was even reported to have told an Iranian student that asked a him a question to "go get a towel."

Eventually the police were called in, many taunts were issued, and Warrior went back to Warrior-land.

Later, the College Republicans apologized for the event. This in turn caused the "Warrior" to get angry and issue the following press release and post this insanely funny rambling retort on his website:

Sure, the liberals were idiots, but you (College Republicans) are craven cowards. You are young and not even full of youth’s natural piss and vinegar - only of your phony, superficial selves. Truth is, you stand for nothing, and resist absolutely none laying down to be violated and beaten by others.
