I was planning to post this some time ago...but didn't get a chance: Since 1776 through the end of the Bush presidency, it is estimated that the United States' national debt will be nearly $10 trillion (currently about $8 trillion). Of that absurd amount, take a guess at how much was accumulated under just three Presidents. By the time GW leaves office, he, Bush I and Reagan will have added a combined $8 trillion to the debt...so much for fiscally conservative.
I love that chart. It so perfectly demonstrates what those "fiscal conservatives" have really been up to.
But of course, if you mention it to a conservative, I'm sure they'll point to Clinton and say "he increased the defecit a whole bunch too" and then bitch about how their personal income taxes went way up. Sure, that may be true, but he balanced the budget. Show me a Republican president that can do that, and I'll show you someone who's been dead for many, many years.
