New Music Thursday

Have you been keeping up on the Sony BMG fiasco?
Here's the complete listing of all 52 CDs that contained the nefarious rootkit. Watch out for that Cyndi Lauper album, Bri.

Entirely unrelated is the new Koufax video for Isabelle. It is SFW, but if someone sees it over your shoulder, they'll wonder what it is that you're watching.

The listing of the 2005 top bands in the U.S. of A.. Some quality picks (read Spoon), some questionable picks (Kelly Clarkson), and some inexcusable omissions. Any thoughts?

Don't worry, I'm safe on the Lauper album - I already bought it on vinyl. Thanks for the posting the new Koufax album, I haven't heard from them in quite a while. When did they get signed to Doghouse? Did they get dumped from Vagrant because they didn't appeal to 13 year old girls? Or did they leave them to try and regain some cred? And, BTW, that video has waaaay too many blurred out body parts. It's like watching Ken and Barbie eat at the Hubbard Diner. And yes, that top 40 is a bit odd, but you have to remember that the polling was done by a bunch of bloggers (read: indie snobs + pop culture addicts).
