If any of you need some tunes to help you get through your day, go check out NPR's webcast of Canada's New Pornographers and Scotland's Belle & Sebastian live in concert at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, originally performed last night (March 6, 2006).
For those of you not in the know, here is a brief explanation of what the bands sound like:
Belle & Sebastian = Paul Simon + The Smiths + A warm fuzzy sweater and a mug of hot chocolate with one giant marshmallow floating on top.
New Pornographers = The Cars + Bouncy Pop-Rock + A million talented Canadians + Neko Case (Possibly the most amazing female vocalist on the planet, however unfortunately not touring with the group during this recording).
Do yourself a favor and go listen. The recording is of excellent quality.
