because somebody I know is moving to Nashville quite soon. And, in addition to the fun that Nashville has to offer, there happens to be a really, really, really good music festival going on nearby in Manchester, TN from June 16-18. Manchester, by the way, happens to be only an hour away from Nashville.
And, my gosh, look at a condensed, partial listing of the acts scheduled to appear:
Radiohead, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Beck, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Cypress Hill, Ben Folds, Common, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Dr. John, Sonic Youth, Les Claypool, Matisyahu, G. Love & Special Sauce, My Morning Jacket, Cat Power and the Memphis Rhythm Band, Gomez, Atmosphere, Blues Traveler, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, The Dresden Dolls, Son Volt, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Rusted Root, Devendra Banhart Band, Mike Doughty, Blackalicious, The Streets, Seu Jorge, Shooter Jennings, Andrew Bird, Lewis Black, Patton Oswalt, Demetri Martin, and Aziz Ansari.
This whole "having a summer job" thing kind of sucks.
Now that's not a bad idea. It certainly would get me quite a bit of free time, not to mention the possibility of disbarment before I even get the chance to become an actual member of the bar. Perhaps I can then follow my dream of becoming the world's second stripping barista.
Speaking of bars, who wants to go to the Essen Haus?
