Maybe this will drum up something. I recently stumbled across a quote that I couldn't believe to be legit until I did a little further research. It turns out the quote is accurate, to my surprise, and is from John Stuart Mill, one of the fathers of the philosophical Utilitarianism movement, along with Jeremy Bentham (who also is quite the interesting chap, with the whole self-museumification of his body).
Anyway, from John Stuart Mill:
I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it.
