Super Waste of Time
To continue today's streak of uselessness...on this day in 1985, a great thing happened:
Super Mario Bros was released!Universally considered a classic of the medium, Super Mario Bros. was one of the first side-scrolling platform games of its kind, introducing players to huge, bright, expansive worlds that changed the way video games were created.
Sure that's all good, but the reason I appreciate the game is because without it we would have been deprived of all the many, many inspired offspring, including my personal favorite.
