Even the Catholics think "intelligent design" is crap
I came across this article and feel that there is still some good in the world.
Catholicism is in disagreement with christian fundamentals and their literal view of the bible. I know that in catholic high schools evolution is taught because the teachers know that the writers of the bible didn't at the time have the capacity to understand what could have happened and thus came up with the Genesis story to state something.
The fundamentalists want to give a scientific meaning to words that had no scientific aim," he said at a Vatican press conference. He said the real message in Genesis was that "the universe didn't make itself and had a creator".
