...then get on the damn bus. Next stop, Awesometown.
A brief glance at today's Badger Herald reveals that all is well in Badger Athletics.
The No. 2 ranked men's hockey team just earned a sweep of Minnesota State, pushing its WCHA record up to 8-0-2 (9-1-2 overall). We've also recently swept perennial-powerhouse North Dakota (at N.D.), and earned 3 points with a tie and a victory over #1 CC. It seems safe to say that the puck stops here. Next up is Michigan State, and the evil Michigan. Let's go red!
The Badger women have shown up big, too. The recently-sucky women's basketball team, now led by star Jolene Anderson, is now 2-0 on the season. Nothing wrong with that.
To put icing on the cake, the No. 3 women's hockey team just swept No. 4 Minnesota to bring their record up to 11-1-0. Damn, it feels good to say "swept Minnesota."
And you can't forget the men's basketball team, led by Co-Big Ten Player of the Week Alando Tucker, who recently had a double-double (38 points, 10 rebounds) against Eastern Kentucky. What made me smile even more was hearing about how Brian Butch showed up strong with 23 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, and a block against Norfolk State. Sure, it was against Norfolk State, but it's great to see him really feeling in sync and bringing massive quantities of game.
And nobody can forget about Barry and his bowl-bound football Badgers. Enough said. Hopefully they can get a big win in Hawaii and go into the bowl in stride.
