If you have some time...

Have some time that needs filling-up?

If you have an hour (or two), go check out Mary Lucia's recent show of Fakebook on The Current. This particular episode features the Minneapolis phenom Tapes N' Tapes as well as Chuck Klosterman. Good stuff, although you'll need Real Player to dial in.

And, if you have a few days (or weeks), ditch your razor. C'mon, it's for the kids. My super-awesome friend Emily writes:

Every year a group of people get together for what they call M4K - Moustaches for Kids. They (well, the men, at least), start clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for a month, checking in every week. They get sponsors and the proceeds all go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year, the competition starts the first week in April.

Last year I (in my alter ego, Zsa Zsa LaGore) hosted the final competition, called the 'Stache Bash. It was VERY fun, and - just in case you were worried - the biggest moustache is NOT the one that won. The judges base their decisions on the moustache's personality as well. :)

I'll be hosting it again this year (because my moustache always comes in patchy, so I make a poor competitor), and I think it would be great to see some people I know. It's a fun thing to do, and for a good cause to boot!

Go to www.m4kmad.org for more information and to sign up!

I know one blogger that would love to enter the contest. I wonder who that is in the picture?

UPDATE: I'm listening to the Facebook thing with Chuck Klosterman right now, and it is quite fantastic. The first few minutes of Tapes N' Tapes are good, but the interview with Chuck is very entertaining. Topics include Britney Spears, the effects of Chuck shooting Mary Lucia, Axl Rose, Ohio, and the evolutionary development of our subconcious due to the existence of video. In the last minute of the first hour, Chuck even details that the best choices for songs to be played at funerals include both Whitesnake's "Slide It In" and WHAM's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." Good stuff.
